PJ Tibayan grew up in a Roman Catholic home and heard the gospel in 1989 when a lady told him that he would never be good enough for God. She told him that the only way to be forgiven of sin was through believing in Jesus Christ and not his good works and religion reading to him Ephesians 2:8-9. He was convicted of his guilt and called on the Lord Jesus to save him (and God did!). He served as an assistant pastor at Christian Fellowship Bible Church in Walnut, CA (2002-2007, now meeting in West Covina) while completing his master of divinity degree (M. Div.) at The Master’s Seminary (2006). He was a pastoral intern at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington DC in the spring of 2008 before a group planted CrossView Church in October of that year. He served CrossView as the Preaching Pastor until October 2014. He now serves as pastor of First Southern Baptist Church (Belllflower) in Southeast L. A. County since November 2014. PJ is happily married to Frances and has a son, three daughters, and a baby on the way.
